First we want to know what angle the hole in the tailstock is.
Place a tailstock center backwards in the 3 jaw chuck.

place a Dial test indicator on the small support and place the support in the maximum position. and place the dial indicator to the surface of the center.

move the small support backwards. The dial indicator tell you that your small support isn’t the right angle.

Rotate the small support until the dial indicator stands on zero when you moves forwards and backwards.

on my machine is that about 1.5 degrees.

Take the center out the chuck and measure the maximum diameter and the length.

Now we gonna make this part.

First we make the bevel side to the right diameter. Then we make a straight part so we turn the other side.

I have make this the same diameter as my biggest drill. ( in my case 18mm -0.05mm = 17.95mm )

So now the other part. Make a cylinder. Diameter 45mm - length 90mm

Drill first a 16mm hole and then a 18mm hole through the whole cylinder. This is accurate.

measure the size. Length and diameter

make a chamber of this size

At the half of the chamber depth drill a m5 hole and make thread in it.

Now it’s ready.
